Ms. Ruby L. Taylor is a woman of God and driven to do His work. She has been an educator and social worker since 1999. Her energetic personality and passion has enabled her to work in various inner city schools and social services along the East coast. Ms. Taylor helps urban youths and families by providing support, resources, education, cognitive coaching and counseling.


Ms. Taylor graduated from Virginia Union University with a bachelor’s degree in social work. From there, she received her masters of social work degree from Howard University School of Social Work in 2001. She is a member of Empowerment Temple AME in Baltimore, Maryland.


Through her spiritual and professional walk she created “No More Good-Byes: What the Bible Say’s about Winning in Grief” as a resource for grieving believers. Ms. Taylor also directed a grief and loss documentary called Mad Believer

Can I Be Mad At God? Workshop (3 to 4 hours)

Ruby Taylor examines the anger that grew because of the murder of her brother and unexpected death of her 30 year-old cousin. Ms. Taylor gives her personal account of what happens when we become angry at God and question our ability to be mad at our Creator. This workshop will not only explore her personal journey through grief and healing it will also explore the grief and grieving valley and the mountain top of healing with the comfort of Jesus Holy Spirit.


How to Start a Bereavement/Grief Ministry? ( 2.5 hours – 3 hours )
This workshop explores the need for a bereavement ministry and how the church can provide support and resources to grieving hearts. The target audience will be pastors, ministers, members and anyone interested in participating actively in bereavement ministry. Every Church Needs a Bereavement Ministry is designed to help attendees understand the process and needs of grieving believers. Each participant will evaluate the need and community resources available for families and provide practical information on what supports a church can provide. Every Church Needs a Bereavement Ministry will be an engaging interaction that will produce a plan of action for churches to implement.

An exciting and energetic look at our Savior Jesus grieving process.


Healing Young Hearts the Team Approach Workshop (2-3 Hours)

This workshop explores the grief process of children or adolescents and how churches, organizations, and individuals can provide support and resources to hurting children. Healing Young Hearts the Team Approach is designed to help attendees understand the process and needs of grieving children and adolescents. Healing Young Hearts will be an engaging interaction that will produce a plan of action for churches, agencies, individuals and/or organizations to implement.


Support Groups

Joy Will Come -8 Weeks Support Group – A support group that explores grief, grieving and healing. In our 8 week sessions participants will gain practical information on the grieving process, understanding what is death and what happens after death, and how God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit assist and mends our broken heart, spirit and mind because of death. Participants will grow better and have an increased understanding of grief, healing, death and our Comforter.
