Overview:
Participants will gain an understanding of grief, healing, and the connection of God, Jesus and His Holy Spirit. Ms. Taylor presentations, workshops and support groups provides insight on how believers can grow better in grief and not bitter.
Presentations:
No More Good-Byes (45 minutes) – An energetic presentation on what is death and what happens after death. Can I Be Mad At God? (50 minutes) – Examining the anger that grew because of the murder of her brother and unexpected death of her 30 year-old cousin Ms. Taylor gives her personal account of what happens when we become angry at God and question our ability to be mad at our Creator. It’s Okay to Grieve (50 – 60 minutes) An exciting and energetic look at our Savior Jesus grieving process.
Workshops/Support Groups Joy Will Come -10 Week Support Group – A support group that explores grief, grieving and healing. In our 10 week sessions participants will gain practical information on the grieving process, understanding what is death and what happens after death, and how God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit assist and mends our broken heart, spirit and mind because of death. Participants will grow better and have an increased understanding of grief, healing, death and our Comforter.
Presenter/Group Leader: Ruby Taylor is an enthusiastic, lively and passionate speaker. Ruby's spontaneous speaking style weaves humor into an entertaining healing experience that is rich in biblical principals.
Ms. Taylor graduated from Virginia Union University with a bachelor’s degree in social work. From there, she received her masters of social work degree from Howard University School of Social Work in 2001.
